I’ll totally admit that it’s hard writing and keeping up with it. I’ve started a bazillion blogs (probably more like 15, but whatever) in my time on the Internet. Starting is the easy part, it’s keeping it going that is difficult.
Burrito 3 was a, “Holy crap! I forgot to get my free burrito this week!” rush job. I stopped by Moe’s on a Monday and discovered that, if you’re going to get a burrito at Moe’s, Monday is the day to do it.
They have a deal where you get the burrito, chips and salsa for like $6 and that more than covers my free burrito coupons. Is it a waste to get a free burrito on a day where the burritos are already cheap?
I mean…no, of course not.
Burritos are always a good idea.
For burrito #3, I totally skipped taking the picture. I forgot. I’m new to this food blogger thing, so that’s my excuse. I’ll try to not let it happen again. It was a boring burrito anyway. White tortilla, ground beef, guacamole, cheese.
I was going to split the burrito with my wife and she isn’t into all the pomp and circumstance of garnishes that I usually get into. If she was going to split the meal with me, that was how it had to be served to her.
The next day I got my fourth burrito coupon so I was able to redeem myself a few days later.
I switched it up this time, having the Moe’s employees make me a fancy pants chicken homewrecker with mushrooms, guac (obviously…that’s what makes it a homewrecker), peppers, onions, black beans and corn salsa…because I can’t live without that corn salsa. The person who made my burrito put WAY TOO MUCH RICE on the thing. When I got home, took a bite and realized what was happening, I ended up dumping the insides out into a bowl and tossing the tortilla.
It’s fine…I like burrito bowls too…
But you can’t eat a burrito bowl with your hands, so that makes it less fun.
You know what is fun though? Queso.
Moe’s queso is probably the main reason why they are my favorite not-so-fast-food-take-out-place. Everything else is also delicious, but that queso is what keeps me coming back for more. I’m all about dipping all the things into it…and sometimes mixing it with one of their salsas to add a little somethin’ somethin’ to my mouth situation.
It’s good. You should try it.
